The 'Ticker Convert' function comes in handy, if the ASCII database tickers contain suffixes which are not used in the MetaStock database.
For example tickers like, CBN.VX, UBS.VX etc. when converted to the MetaStock format, can be converted to CBN, UBS in one go.
This can help to have a more compatible database with your existing MetaStock applications and MetaStock Databases.
