What are Broad-Based Exchange Traded Funds ?
These are Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) that have as their underlying tracking instrument an index or other financial product made up of a well diversified number of stocks. A small ETF is the DJIA with 30 industrial stocks, represented by Diamonds, and the large ETF is the Russell 3000 Index, represented by the iShares Russell 3000 Index Fund.
Why Investors Care
Investors choose broad-based ETFs when they wish to achieve a great level of diversification while matching the returns of the underlying index.
